Join the Zanesville Museum of Art for another Book ApART book discussion exploring the remarkable true story told in The Art Spy. This gripping book reveals how French museum curator Rose Valland secretly documented the Nazis’ theft of thousands of works of art during World War II, risking her life to help recover them after the war. Participants will discuss Valland’s quiet heroism, the fate of looted art, and the powerful role museums and individuals can play in protecting cultural heritage. Through conversation and connections to works in the museum’s collection, this discussion invites readers to reflect on how art can endure—even in the darkest moments of history.
