Y-Bridge Arts Festival

Join us Friday, August 3, 2–8 pm, and Saturday, August 4, 11 am–8 pm, at the ZMA’s Children’s Tent during the 2018 Y-bridge Arts Festival, located at Zane’s Landing Park. Bring the whole family for a weekend of art activities, hands-on demonstrations, fine art, live music, food, and drinks. Visit the ZMA’s Children’s Art Tent throughout the festival for tons of cool art activities. Create fun projects to take home, snap a photo of yourself as Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa or Edvard Munch’s The Scream, add your own personal touch to our collaborative chalk art display, and enjoy the creative company of old and new friends.

Free programs for all ages and skill levels. Please allow about fifteen minutes for most activities. 

Friday, August 3

2–4 pm                        Sand Paintings

                                    Create an original work of art with colored sand.

4–6 pm                        Washer Pendants

                                    Turn a washer into a beautiful piece of jewelry.                     

6–7 pm                        Tie-Dye

                                    Experiment with easy tie-dying techniques.

7–8 pm                        Yarn Paintings

                                    Use yarn in a fun new way to create a fantastic work of art.

Saturday, August 5 

11 am–12 pm              Washi Tape Bracelets

                                  Use your favorite colors and patterns of washi tape to create a one-of-a-kind bracelet to complete your summer outfit.

12–2 pm                      Foil Leaf Art

                                    Create breathtaking nature art with real leaves and tin foil.   

2–3 pm                        Spirited Creations Painting Party

3–4 pm                        Spirited Creations Painting Party

4:30–6 pm                   Rock Painting

                                    Use paint to transform an ordinary rock into a travel-size work of art.

6–7 pm                        Mosaics

                                    Assemble your own masterpiece using the ancient art form of mosaic.

7–8 pm                        Printmaking

                                    Discover the fun of printmaking with washable markers and Styrofoam.
