Dye Hard: The Art of Color & Fiber
Ages 14 and up

Celebrate creativity, experimentation, and 90 years of art exploration at the Zanesville Museum of Art with Dye Hard: The Art of Color & Fiber. Designed for ages 14 through adult, this immersive four-day summer studio experience invites participants to explore the transformative magic of color on cloth and fiber. Learn foundational dyeing techniques, experiment with resist methods and layered surface design, and incorporate stitching and textile manipulation to create one-of-a-kind works. Rooted in tradition yet open to bold exploration, this workshop encourages contemporary creativity and personal expression. Discover how pigment, pattern, and process come together—and turn simple fibers into extraordinary works of art.

I have a passion for clothing design, I channel my creativity into both my business and art. During the summer, I host free Saturday art classes, my goal is to encourage a love for creativity in my community. Throughout the school year, I support educational programs at the Zanesville Museum of Art, facilitating enriching field trips for students. I'm a dedicated mom, I enjoy creating art with my kiddo across various mediums, making artistic exploration a family affair. It will be my second year as an art instructor with the ZMA and I'm super excited to create with everyone!
