Summer Art Camp
Lights, Camera, Action!
Ages 10 to 14
Lights, Camera, Action! Art Camp invites young creators to explore the art of storytelling through photography and motion. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with light and image-making through hands-on projects including cyanotype (sun print) photography, digital photography, and frame-by-frame mini-animation. Using iPads and art materials, participants will transform still images into short looping GIF animations, discovering how photographs can be sequenced to create movement on screen. By blending traditional photographic processes with digital tools, campers will build skills in composition, visual design, and creative storytelling in a fun, collaborative studio environment.
This camp requires an iPad or smart phone (with Stop Motion Studio app installed). Participants may bring a device from home or rent one for an additional $15. There are a limited number of iPads to rent, so sign up early. iPad rentals are available thanks to Goodcity Creatives.
Monday– Friday, June 22–26, 9:00am–12:00pm at the ZMA.
$120 for members, $135 with iPad rental
$240 for not-yet-members, $255 with iPad rental
