Enjoy this special edition workshop in conjunction with the 79th Ohio Annual Exhibition, on view through September 13.
Fiber Artist Philip Sarsany will discuss his piece in the exhibition, The Waterfall of Bear Run, and share various techniques he uses in his artwork.
Create your own beginner-friendly, one-of-a-kind weaving project inspired by Sarsany’s body of work and demonstrated techniques. Each participant will receive a reusable weaving tool that they can use to practice their new skills at home!

Philip Sarsany is a Colombian-born, American citizen, who received his Bachelor of Integrative Studies degree from Kent State University in 2024. He also holds an Associate of Arts Degree with a specialization in History and a Certificate in Adobe Illustrator from Columbus State Community College, both earned in 2020. Sarsany has been accepted to a Master of Science in Heritage Resources Administration at the University of Kentucky. Sarsany is a freelance Textiles and Mixed Media Artist who employs techniques ranging from crochet, to knitting, to weaving, to create colorful and textural eclectic artworks.
