Year-End Art Donations
If you are considering a donation as part of a Year-End gift, please follow the guidelines outlined below. For consideration for a year-end 2022 art donation, please provide information to the ZMA no later than Monday, October 31, 2022. Artwork must be delivered to the ZMA by Friday, December 16, 2022.

Art Donations
To begin the donation process, please review the following information and then call or email the ZMA to inform us that you are considering a donation.

Although we understand that you may not have all the facts about the work you wish to donate, we will be better able to assist you if you can provide some basic information about the work including:

• The artist's name
• The date of the work
• The title of the work
• The medium of the work
• The condition of the work
• The size of the work
• Ownership information about the work
• And images of the work

After initial consideration, the museum may request to see the work of art in person.

There are so many benefits of making an art donation to the ZMA, including:

• Satisfaction in knowing that your treasured work of art will be cared for to the highest standards
• Pleasure of knowing that your work may be displayed, studied, and enjoyed by generations to come
• Credit for the value of the gift in your cumulative giving record at the ZMA, which is applied toward your giving status
• The opportunity to take a charitable income tax deduction, if applicable
• Removal of items from your estate, thereby avoiding potential estate tax on the value of those objects
